Anne Kolbe Nature Center

Anne Kolbe Nature Center is a natural sanctuary that has been in Hollywood since 1996. It encompasses 1,500 acre coastal mangrove wetlands that feature a variety of flora and fauna. It also features exhibit hall that includes hands-on eco-room that provides a wonderful nature experience, a 3,500 gallon aquarium, a mini-theatre that features 10-minute video presentation with closed caption, and enticing display of the mangrove ecosystem of the Park. The hall also has rotating exhibits on nature by the local photographers and artists. Visitors can walk or bike along the trails, or rent a kayak or canoe and paddle their way through the mangrove’s estuary. Climb atop the 68-foot tall observation tower and enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterways and the Westlake Mangrove estuary. Boat tours are also available and these tours explain about the marine life and mangrove ecosystem. It also has two nature trails, a fishing pier, an outdoor amphitheatre, mudflat trail and a lake observation trail.  It is a perfect place to connect with nature!

Charnow Park

Charnow Park is a beachfront park that offers great respite from the Florida heat. It is located north of Hollywood Boulevard and is often crowded with tourists and locals.
